Norm Lyons

Personal Experience

Norm was awarded a Victorian Overseas Foundation Scholarship in 1965 and spent three years in England studying and gaining experience in building construction. On his return he re-joined the family business of Lyons Construction, a medium sized commercial construction company in Geelong, Victoria. He is currently Executive Chairman of Lyons Construction.

Norm is a past president of the Geelong Chamber of Commerce. In 2001, he was awarded the Australian Centenary Medal for services to Junior Chamber International and the Geelong Chamber of Commerce.

He is a former Board member of the Australian Technical College, Geelong.

He is a former campaign Director of United Way Geelong (now Give Where You Live), and a former Board member of Anam Cara House Geelong.

Norm was awarded Life Membership of the Master Builders Association of Victoria in 2012.
