The Australian Overseas Foundation Inc.’s privacy policy complies with the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) embodied within the Privacy Amendment Private Sector Act 2000. Your privacy is respected by the Foundation and personal information will be handled in a sensitive manner. Information collected on the application and Referee Report Forms will be used for the purpose of selecting award winners and will be provided to the Selection Panel and Members of the Board of Directors.

The applicant’s name and the subject of the award will be provided to the media as part of a media release at the time the awards are announced. These details will also be provided in the Foundation’s Annual Report and may be used to promote the Foundation’s Awards with the media.

The applicant’s details will also be provided to airlines for the purpose of arranging travel. The successful award winner’s name, address and contact details will be provided to the Australian Overseas Foundation Association, an association of past AOF winners to ensure that they are able to maintain contact with members for the purpose of newsletters, functions and get-togethers.

The applicant’s name, industry, qualifications as included in the Foundation’s Annual Report will also be published on the Foundation’s Website in order that the community-at-large can easily access the reports and benefit from the AOF experience.
